The mega-popular heroes of classic Russian children's literature—the magical artist Karandash (Pencil) and the iron jack-of-all-trades Samodelkin (Handy-Man)—are delighted to meet readers of all ages once again!
A sensation! A mysterious island hidden in the ocean is still inhabited by real dinosaurs. The little magicians can’t wait to see them. But it turns out the dinosaurs have their own Master. And he is in a very villainous mood.
More than half a century ago, writer Yuri Druzhkov told of the amazing events that happened to these cheerful little fellows in his books "The Adventures of Karandash and Samodelkin" and "The Magic School of Karandash and Samodelkin." Later, the baton of fun adventures was taken up by Yuri Druzhkov's son, the well-known children's author Valentin Postnikov. Thanks to his inexhaustible imagination, these beloved heroes will visit the most extraordinary corners of the Earth and space, encounter dinosaurs, and even... catch a ghost! And readers will see for themselves why Valentin Postnikov is quite rightly called "the most cheerful contemporary fairy-tale writer."
