The famous Soviet writer Veniamin Kaverin (1902-1989) asserts that "there is nothing more dangerous in life than boredom." The events in the fairy-tale novella "The Flying Boy" take place in the quiet town of Nemukhin. That is where an ordinary schoolboy named Petya Vorobyov, who does not believe in miracles, lives. At least, that is the case until a stranger from the distant land of Letandia flies into his garden. This encounter changes Petya’s life completely. He will find new friends, embark on a long journey to the edge of the earth, and face a dangerous confrontation with the powerful Main Wind.
