A vivid prose style, keen observation, and deep knowledge of nature made Vitaly Bianchi (1894–1959) one of the most beloved children's writers. The native landscape comes to life in his works. Birds, animals, insects, and even plants find their voices.
It turns out that in the spring, the entire forest from top to bottom is occupied as living space. There isn't a single spot left vacant. Creatures live on the ground, underground, on the water, underwater, in trees, in the grass, and in the air.
"Forest Cottages" by Vitaly Bianchi is a collection of stories and fairy tales about how different animals, birds, and fish build their homes, where they live, and how they raise their young.
