"Nedopyosok" is what hunters call young, not yet adult arctic foxes. Napoleon the Third, an arctic fox, lives in a cage on a fur farm where animals are raised for their pelts. In the best-case scenario, his life will last as long as he can produce breeding offspring. In the worst, he will become a collar on someone’s coat. It’s not that Napoleon realizes this, but his desire for freedom is so strong that he escapes from his cage. And then from the farm. It is then that he learns what hunger is. And he almost trades his freedom for a bowl of food. "Nedopyosok" is one of the best children's books by Yuri Koval and one of the great books of the 20th century.
