Once upon a time we met a bull, a ram, a pig, a goose and a rooster in the forest. Everyone left their yard “to seek summer from winter.” To shelter from the cold, they worked hard and built themselves a warm hut. Unfortunately, a fox, a wolf and a bear found out about them. They decided to attack the hut, eat everyone, and then live in the warmth themselves. But, as it should be in fairy tales, good always triumphs over evil. The friendly animals drove away the greedy predators and began to live for themselves, not knowing grief.
The text of the fairy tale, processed by the Russian writer and folklorist M. A. Bulatov, is organically complemented by carefully executed, realistic and at the same time absolutely fabulous drawings by the artist and sculptor, founder of Russian animal art D.V. Gorlova.
