In this continuation of the popular "Kindergarten on Wheels" series, Klusha the little excavator, Shpunchik the little steam engine, and the other vehicles are preparing for the New Year's party with excitement and joy. They write wish lists to Grandpa Snow-Haul, learn poems, and rehearse a dance. Klusha doesn't get everything right at first, but, as always, his friends and the caring nanny, Kerosene Benzinovich, come to his rescue. Another helpful book for toddlers and their parents on how to handle tricky situations that arise in kindergarten. Klusha the excavator, Shpunchik the steam engine, Gasya the fire truck, and the other kids from the kindergarten on wheels are brimming with joyful anticipation. After all, New Year's is just around the corner! They are writing, or rather drawing (since they don't know how to write yet), letters to Grandpa Snow-Haul about the gifts they want to receive. And, of course, they are preparing gifts for him themselves: learning poems and rehearsing a group dance. At first, Klusha can't remember the right moves, but the wise nanny's advice and the support of his friends help him overcome his anxiety.
The vehicles work together to decorate the Christmas tree, listen to another instructive fairy tale from Kerosene Benzinovich (this time, an automotive version of "Ryaba the Hen"), and finally, it's time for the fun party. Klusha recites his favorite poem and joins the other vehicles in congratulating Grandpa Snow-Haul, who has become mellow and fallen asleep in the cozy kindergarten classroom. Through the examples of these charming vehicles, these fairy-tale stories will teach toddlers how to share joy with others, stay humble, and show empathy. The book can be used to help 6-7-year-olds learn to read independently, as it describes familiar situations from kindergarten, and the stories themselves are short and engaging.
