“Kindergarten on Wheels: The Middle Group” is the sequel to the popular guidebook for preschoolers and their parents. These fun stories help little ones better adapt to their new environment. The favorite characters of many children—Klusha the excavator and Shpunchik the little steam engine—have grown up and are now in the middle group.
They still listen to instructive tales read to them by their strict but caring nanny, Kerosin Benzinovich, and they also draw fruit, play a lot, and, of course, can’t resist a little mischief. Now Klusha, Shpunchik, and the other machines are in the middle group. The little ones have grown up a bit and already feel more independent. They are even ready to sneak out of kindergarten to get their hands on some tasty buns with gasoline cream. And wise Kerosin Benzinovich continues to protect the restless preschoolers from reckless actions and teaches them right from wrong.
However, trouble does happen—how could it not? It turns out that even such close friends as Klusha and Shpunchik can have a falling out. A swing set was installed at the kindergarten, and the friends just couldn't agree on who would go first. Another time, the little excavator got a flat tire and had to go to a special tire repair hospital. And one day, there was an absolutely terrible embarrassment: Klusha wet himself, and everyone started laughing at him. It’s a good thing loyal Shpunchik rushed to help and found a clever way out of the awkward situation.
In “The Middle Group,” Zulya Stadnik breaks down another batch of challenging situations that all children face in kindergarten, extracurricular clubs, and on playgrounds. By reading these stories, parents can discuss with their children how best to interact with peers and caregivers, how they should and shouldn't behave, and the children themselves will meet their favorite characters again and get to know some new ones. In their company, re-adaptation—this time to the middle group—will go much easier and more smoothly.
