It is these kinds of fairy tales that we love, remember for a long time, look for for our children and quite rarely find. These are gem fairy tales: solid and bright, with a fascinating and complete plot, with a simple moral. There are no psychedelics, philosophy or dull instructions in them, there is no artificiality or incompleteness. Each one is read in 10-15 minutes and the topic is fully covered.
Enid Blyton's fairy tales are similar both to classic European fairy tales (Andresen or, for example, Perrault) and to The Wizard of Oz. They are about gnomes, elves and fairies and about ordinary children who find themselves in unusual circumstances. The plots often resemble fairy tales that are already familiar to us. And these are exactly the stories that probably every child dreams of being in, traveling in their fantasies, looking at illustrations in books or looking at wallpaper before bed.

- In this world there is a magic saucepan that will cook you whatever you want
- And the chicken lays chocolate eggs (but this is not a story about the chicken Ryaba, it’s more like “One-two-three! Don’t cook the pot!”)
- On the way to the store, you will meet a dog with a basket and see how the evil witch Ostroshapka insidiously throws him magic powder, which eventually turns into a bag of gold coins
- Here you can lend your doll porcelain set to the elves, and in gratitude they will give you mint tea and treat you to tiny buns
The lessons learned are the most natural: you can’t take someone else’s things without asking, you shouldn’t act on the sly, it’s ugly to be greedy, kindness and intelligence triumph.
"The Wizard's Umbrella" - the most wonderful fairy tales that your preschoolers and primary schoolchildren will definitely enjoy. (The latter can read them independently, since the font in the book is quite large).
