A unique genre has quietly gone into the past - audio fairy tales from the Melodiya studio. These are not just fairy tales read in different voices - these are independent works, with a script written for them, music and impeccable casting. Many of these records were genuine masterpieces, even in some ways surpassing the original source. For example, the rather complex and intricate "Alice in Wonderland" turned into an elegant musical fairy tale with wonderful songs. Listen to everyone - Oho-ho! Hey-hey! - me, a parrot, a pirate of the seas! In particular, Alice, it seems to me, appeared only so that new works, artistic or applied, could be born on her basis.
Did you have the record "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves" when you were a child? If you didn't, listen to it now, you won't regret it, I promise! Tabakov is Ali Baba, the sweet-voiced Tatyana Nikitina is Zeynab, the robber chieftain is Dzhigarkhanyan. They all speak with a slight oriental accent, sing hit songs and utter oriental wisdom. You'll sing the songs with your whole family, they're so soulful! Persia, Persia, fruit paradise...
"The Golden Key", "Nils's Journey with Wild Geese", "Old Man Hottabych", "Dwarf Nose" - also among my favorites. Now we listen to these tales in the car and, so as not to waste time, during meals. Some people find it more fun to eat soup this way, and others remember how the needle touches the surface of the record, a characteristic crackling sound is heard, and the tale begins...
