Norwegian writer Anne-Katrina Westley has long been a classic of children's literature. Her books, translated into many languages, are loved and read with pleasure all over the world. Over more than half a century of literary creativity, Westli wrote 56 books and in her homeland received the honorary title of Grandmother of All Norway. But perhaps the most popular are her stories about dad, mom, grandmother and eight children.
The collection “Dad, Mom, Grandma and Eight Children in the Village, or Anton’s Little Gift” includes three stories from Westley’s famous cycle about a friendly large family. The stories “Holidays in the Stable”, “Anton’s Little Gift” and “Grandma’s Road” tell the story of how a large family, having moved in their favorite truck from a cramped city apartment to a spacious country house, settled in a new place.
