Well, we love Brodsky ...
Agree, it sounds impressive. But you won’t have to lie: turning the pages, you will feel the wind from the Baltic, hear the noise of the docks, be impressed by huge ships from distant beautiful countries, dream of the coasts serenely silent in your sleep and parrots screaming on coastal palm trees, think about the immigrant share - and be sure to love this book with all my heart. And someone really will return to their city for a few minutes, familiar to tears ... Brodsky is sometimes such a Mandelstam.
