This workbook is intended for use with children aged five years and older. By studying with this notebook, the child learns to put sounds into syllables. This is a classic “sound” method of teaching reading, proposed by D.K. Ushinsky more than 150 years ago and is currently relevant. In this notebook you will find syllables only with hard consonants (BY, MA, PO or SU), because they are most understandable for preschoolers and are easier to pronounce. We will study syllables with soft consonants in the second part of “Literacy” (notebook No. 9).
The notebook can be used as an additional aid when mastering the main kindergarten program for teaching children to read and write. Each notebook comes with a marker, the mark of which can be erased dry (with a dry sponge or napkin).
