The poem "To whom it is good to live in Rus'", written in the late 60s - mid-70s. XIX century, shortly after the abolition of serfdom, tells the story of seven peasants who wander around Rus' in search of a happy man. Exploring the hidden corners of the Russian soul, the poet vividly and accurately depicts ordinary people who face difficult trials, and peasant everyday life.
