This is a fairy tale about a great war waged by a very young mongoose Rikki-Tikki-Tavi with two cobras Nag and Nagaina. Darzi, the tailor bird, helped him, and Chuchundra, the musky rat, gave him advice. But he really fought alone. Rikki-tikki-tavi was washed ashore by the river during the flood, where the boy Teddy found him. The boy and his parents took the mongoose into the house, and he became the best friend and protector of people from cobras. It is known that where the mongoose settled cobras do not belong!
