The first book about Petson and Findus was published back in 1984 and since then it has captivated several generations in many countries around the world. Nordqvist's books have been translated into 40 languages.
It's no secret that Petson is a bit of an absent-minded old man. He may have flour under the sofa, and pepper in his bicycle basket. His wonderful recipes are scattered throughout the house. One day, the kitten Findus decided that it was time to collect them into a cookbook, and this is what came out of it! Petson and Findus will teach you how to bake pies and buns, cook soups, jelly, porridge and even make carrot marmalade. Petson’s recipes are very simple and tasty, and each of them is preceded by a short story from the life of an old man and a kitten. Older children can prepare most of the dishes themselves, but for the little ones there are simpler tasks that Findus usually performs: roll minced meat into meatballs, mix sauce, measure milk and flour or grind crackers.
A real cookbook from your favorite characters - recipes are collected inside that you can prepare with your children.
The book will certainly motivate children to eat not only sweets, but also soups with an appetite - it’s so interesting to try dishes prepared with your own hands.
All recipes are decorated with bright, detailed details, with many thematic items .
Each recipe is supplemented with short stories and plots from the life of old man Petson and Findus the cat.
