Jo Nesbø: The Redbreast

Jo Nesbø, a Norwegian writer and a leading figure in Nordic noir.
Norwegian neo-Nazi groups are ruled with an iron fist by someone hiding under the name of the Prince. Police Inspector Harry Hole suspects that the Prince is linked to the security services, and this hunch cost his partner her life.
Another connection is discovered between today's skinheads and those who fought in Hitler's divisions half a century ago. A vengeful ghost has emerged from the past, and peaceful Oslo is shaken by bloody reprisals, but this is only the beginning. The real terrorist attack is planned for Constitution Day...
To cover up a scandal involving an American special agent shot during a summit in Oslo, police investigator Harry Hole is transferred to the Security Service, where he must uncover the link between the kings of the underground arms market and a group of neo-Nazis. Harry discovers a highly suspicious deal: someone has purchased a high-priced sniper rifle with an optical sight.
