One evening, three friends - Badger, Turtle and Little Mole - went for a walk before going to bed. On the path they found someone's strange footprints - long and spread out. They had never seen anything like it before. Friends decided at all costs to find out who owns these traces, and boldly set off on an adventure.

The tracks led them to a hut in the swamp, and Badger was the first to go on reconnaissance. On the outside he was brave, but on the inside he was a bit of a coward. And since fear has large eyes, it seemed to him from afar that a big-nosed evil witch settled in the hut.

Next, the Turtle went to investigate. She, too, was a bit of a coward, and it seemed to her that some kind of humpbacked and nosy monster really settled in the swamp.

Finally, the youngest member of the expedition, Little Mole, went to the hut. He did not return for a very long time, and Badger and Turtle went to save him.

Fortunately, this story ended happily. The mysterious marsh inhabitant turned out to be the Heron, which was in those places flying. Having got to know her better, her friends stopped being afraid of her and even all together laughed at their former fears.

A story about overcoming fears, about friendship and mutual assistance for children of primary preschool age.
