Mom gives Little Raccoon the task to go alone, in the dark, to the pond and catch delicious crayfish for dinner. The baby enthusiastically rushes to fulfill his mother's request, but the farther he moves away from home, the more frightening he becomes. On the way, he meets Porcupine, Skunk and Fat Rabbit, who intimidate him with a story about the One who sits in the pond. But Peewee bravely marches on. He really sees in the pond someone, it seems to him, very scary, he runs away twice and returns twice armed with a stone, then a stick. The one who sits in the pond also threatens him with either a stone or a stick, and completely upset and frightened Tiny returns to his mother.
Mom gives her son wise advice: do not threaten or threaten the One who is sitting in the pond, but simply smile at him.
