The girl Tonya, nicknamed "Glimmerdal's Thunderstorm", is the only child in a remote Norwegian village. Tonya is ten years old, she has a snow scooter and a strong belief that the main thing in life is “speed and self-respect.” When she rushes from the mountains, singing at the top of her voice and sparkling with a shock of red hair, the whole village knows that the most important person in the valley is riding. And Tony also has a best friend - old man Gunvald, who bakes cupcakes for her and plays the violin for her.
"Tonya Glimmerdal", the second book by Maria Parr, already known to the Russian reader for the story "Waffle Heart" (2008), again tells about true friendship. And that sometimes children are much wiser than adults, helping them come to terms with their past and enjoy the present.
