This edition publishes the first and most famous historical novel by the famous American writer Mark Twain (1835-1910) - "The Prince and the Pauper".
Little ragamuffin Tom Canty and Prince Edward VI, having met by chance, exchanged clothes, and each of them was mistaken for the other, since the faces of the boys were very similar. Many adventures had to be experienced by Tom Canty in the royal palace, and the little prince, who wandered around the country with the brave knight Miles Gendon.
The publication contains 190 illustrations by the American artist F. Merrill.
