In the Norwegian city of Bergen, a quite ordinary family lives for itself: mom, dad, six-year-old Martin and his older sister Matilda. But everything changes, and life is suddenly filled with exciting events when grandfather Oscar, whom the children have never seen before, comes to visit them. It's not for nothing that Oscar was nicknamed the Chocolate Grandpa, because he is a terrible sweetheart and cannot live without sweets and chocolate.
First, Martin and Matilda, in the company of their grandfather, have to fight the intrigues of the harmful Paulsen sisters, who dream of disrupting the annual city fair of sweets. And then they travel through time, meet the Vikings and look for a stolen chest that contains a magical artifact that grants wishes.
After all, where Chocolate Grandpa is, there are always adventures and magic!
